Copernico

Tag sequencing

Chip sequencing is the dorsal chip correlation: which chip number corresponds to each dorsal.

You can configure a range of dorsals and their corresponding chip range.

Every time you change the sequencing the athlete will be updated. If you have uploaded the athlete with a chip already assigned this chip will not undergo any modification.

There are two ways to sequence de tags in Copérnico:

Automatic sequencing from Copérnico

When the tag-bib sequencing is correlated, we recommend carrying out the automatic sequencing from Copérnico, not from a file.CSV. This second option is more appropriate when there is a correlation between the bib number and the tag number.
  1. Click on “Tag Sequencing” in the left-hand menu.
  2. Enter the range of bibs of your race in the “Bib Range” fields, for example from 1 to 5,000.
  3. The “Tag range” fields are automatically filled in with the same values. Change them only if necessary.
  4. Choose the event from the dropdown. If all race numbers are for the same event, you can leave the “All” value which appears preselected.
  5. Click “+Add”.Sequencing tags - Steps 1, 2, 3, 4 y 5

There is a possibility that in your race you will use two tags per bib. In that case you can create a new sequencing range by clicking on “+Add”. You must complete the same values for the dorsal range; and put in the tag range corresponding to the second tag of each bib.

Make sure that the tag range is different in these two sequences so as not to have duplicate tags.

You can check if everything is correct by clicking on the “Preview” dropdown. The line of the tag area will be continuous, and its maximum will be 1.

If there are tags assigned twice in this chart, you will see that the maximum of the chart is no longer one.

Sequencing tags - Duplicate tags

Sequencing from a file .CSV

For this type of sequencing you must prepare a file which only has two columns without headers: in one the bibs and in another the assigned tags.

If a bib has two tags, you should include it twice.
  1. Click on “Tag Sequencing” in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the import icon.
Sequencing tags by csv file - Steps 1 y 2
  3. Drag the file you have already prepared or click to find it on your computer.
Sequencing tags by csv file - Step 1
  4. When you have loaded the file, display the “Event” field to assign an event to the list. If there is only one event you can leave the “All” preselection.
  5. Click the “Save” button.
Sequencing tags by csv file - Step 4 y 5

The sequences which you have loaded in your file will appear on the screen.

If you want to assign two tags to the same participant, add a second column in which you put the value of the second tag in your import document. This is an example template made in Google Sheets. During the import, associate both columns with “Tag” in the “Field to assign” drop-down. Copérnico will associate both values as the participant’s tags.

Importing participants

Removing tag sequencings

You can delete a sequence of chips one by one by clicking on the recycle bin icon or you can delete several sequences at once by selecting them and clicking on “Delete Selected” from the context menu.
