The automatic bib number assignment provides a bib number to each participant when their registration is validated and it can be configured for the entire race or for each individual event.
Assignment of race bibs for the whole race
To assign bibs that belong to any of the race events:
- Log into Sportmaniacs and select the race.
- Click on “Edit race” in the main menu on the left.
- Click on the “Advanced” tab.
- Scroll down until you find the checkbox “Automatic number assignment” and activate it.
- Enter the number of the first bib you want to assign.
- Click on the “Save” button.
Assignment of bibs per event
You will use this automatic assignment if you want to assign differentiated ranks depending on the event in which the participants register:
- Login to Sportmaniacs and select the race.
- Drop down from the main event menu the event for which you want to assign the bibs and click on “Edit event”.
- Click on the “Advanced” tab.
- Scroll down until you find the checkbox “Automatic number assignment” and activate it.
- Enter the number of the first bib you want to assign.
- Click on the “Save” button.
It is recommended to always use the bib allocation for the entire race. This type of allocation will never allow bibs to be repeated.
Any registration modification that involves a change of status will generate a new bib. For example, changing a participant’s event cancels an entry and generates a new entry. On the other hand, a partial refund would not generate a new bib.
