Antennas and tags

Mounting lateral antennas

Lateral antennas are made up of two components; a tripod and an antenna. To mount it, open the tripod and adjust the height so that it is approximately at the height that the tag will be as the runners go past.

Once at the correct height, fit the antenna using the top ring of the tripod and hold the bottom of the antenna in place using the rubber band.

If you are using lateral antennas for triathlons or in swimming events, place the antennas at a distance from the water to ensure their optimal operation. We recommend placing the timing point at least 5 meters away from the water, always leaving the maximum distance possible.
